Eliza Ivanova, sometimes better known as Eleeza, is an artist and animation filmmaker currently living in San Franscisco.

Born in 1987 in Sofia, Bulgaria, Eliza began her artistic journey at the tender age of twelve! She started studying the fundamentals of classical academic drawing with contemporary painter, Garo Muradian, in his studio. Although she initially intended to go to the Bulgarian National Academy of Art, her love for animation kept growing to the point where, at the age of eighteen, she decided to move to the United States and attend summer classes at the California Institute of the Arts! She spent four years studying for a bachelor’s degree in traditional 2D animation, allowing her to expand her artistry. One of the four short films she created during this time, Piece of Cake, won best film in the annual CalArts Character Animation Producers’ Show. Her brilliant work was recognized by Pixar Studios, who hired her for a summer internship and then, after graduation, offered her a full-time job. During the next nine years, we catch sight of Eliza’s name in the credits of major movies, such as Cars 2, Brave, Monsters University, Inside out, Bao, The Dam Keeper, and Toy Story of Terror. In 2019, Eliza decided to say goodbye to the studio and has embarked upon a successful freelance career.
