THE BOOK
Face in a window, a woman on a train, the last flamingo in the twilight. All these and more can be discovered in Rembert Montald’s current compendium of sketches. Moving from Belgium, Croatia, the United States and still travelling ever onwards, Rembert has seen, and put to paper, a great deal of the world.
If you are willing, he would like to show you exactly what he has figured out about drawing while he was doing all that.
A WORD FROM THE PUBLISHER
I met Rembert for the first time back in 2015, on Sept. 6th, (yes, I can be precise, because I have a photo ^^). This was in Belgium, at a comic festival, and I was quite surprised when I saw his first sketchbooks. Wow! For an artist that young, he definitely had drawing skills. And guess what? He only got better with the passing of time!
Today, we're very happy to publish his first sketchbook. I know already that there will be many more to come!

VIDEO
To discover the sketchbook presented by Rembert on the PROKO channel, here are two great videos:
Rembert Montald takes you through his sketchbooks, sharing his artistic process and how he feels about his work. He talks about everything from character sketches to childhood memories, and explains his methods in gesture drawing and anatomy.
And in the two videos below, find out how he uses sketching to explore new directions, and how his drawings got him hired at Riot!
