About the artist

Boris Vallejo is a Peruvian-American painter who works in the science fiction, fantasy, and erotica genres, and is America’s premier fantasy artist.  His hyper-representational paintings have appeared on the covers of numerous science fiction and fantasy fiction novels. They are also sold through a series of annual calendars. His works are known and loved around the world. Boris is famous for his illustrations of Tarzan, Conan the Barbarian, Doc Savage and many other fantasy characters, as well as movie poster illustration, advertisement illustration, and artwork for collectibles, trading cards, and sculpture.
