Claire Wendling is a French comic strip illustrator and author from Montpellier.
After winning the Alph'Art avenir prize at the Angoulême festival in 1989, she took part in two collective works, Les Enfants du Nil and Entrechats. In 1997, she was hired by the Warner studio and moved to Los Angeles to take part in various projects, including The Quest for Camelot. She returned to France eight months later and published Desk, a sketchbook made in Los Angeles. In 2000, she took part in the graphic design of the video game Alone in the Dark IV.
Claire Wendling publishes little: a few short stories, a series, sketchbooks and illustration books. In 2016, she was a finalist for the Grand Prix at the Angoulême Festival.
