Who in the world is Lazlo Parker?
He is an unknown artist, born in the depth of Mœbius' subconscious. He is a compulsive and obsessive illustrator who specializes in mechanic and organic shapes, an unusual poet, as well as many other things...
"The goal was to obtain shapes that didn't represent anything but were still inhabited by a limitless worry for representation, light, shade, form, perspective and expertise."
In addition to Mœbius' well-known representations, the famous artist was also interested in more abstract shapes, hybrid creations that existed between the natural logic of randomness and the mechanical functioning of regularity. The mysterious Lazlo Parker is an alias that Mœbius used in one of his booklets in order to test out this unexpected style full of new and intriguing shapes, thus broadening his already vast drawing range.
