"Le Saut de l'Ange (part. 2)" is a 150m² fresco created especially for the Belfry in Montrouge, Jean Giraud aka Mœbius's home town.

It depicts a suspended moment, where the leap seems to defy the laws of gravity in an almost celestial escape, while an orchestra led by the author himself unravels and dances, chaotic, fluid, abstract, organic, surrealist, jouissif... The final monumental work by Moebius, created between 2010 and 2012, is full of details and surprises... All you have to do is dive in!

About the artist

Jean Giraud aka Moebius or Gir is a legendary comics author and illustrator. After studying at the Arts Appliqués in Paris, he left France to join his mother in Mexico, where he spent eight months. During that time, he was steeped in the desertic landscapes and became the assistant of Joseph Gillain, also known as Jijé.
